Arbitrum Watchdog Committee Proposes Permanent Bans for Three DeFi Projects

The Watchdog Committee of Arbitrum, a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform, has proposed to permanently exclude three projects and their founders from future ArbitrumDAO programs. This action follows findings of grant misuse from the DAO's legacy incentive rounds. The proposal, published on September 3, 2026, indicates a shift from clawback measures to outright exclusion for these projects, which have already ceased operations or merged with other entities.

The three projects identified are Good Entry, Limitless, and APX Finance, with a total of 457,553 ARB tokens flagged for misuse, valued at approximately $76,000. The committee categorized the cases as high-severity, involving large-scale misuse, including fabricated deliverables and theft. Good Entry reportedly misallocated funds to ineligible users and engaged in self-farming, while Limitless transferred its entire grant allocation out of the Arbitrum ecosystem. APX Finance, which has merged with another project, also faced scrutiny for unspent funds and late distributions.

Each project has until September 10, 2026, to respond to the allegations. If the committee finds the explanations unsatisfactory, separate votes will be held to determine whether to impose permanent bans on the projects and their founders from all future ArbitrumDAO initiatives. This proposal comes amid ongoing discussions within the DAO regarding funding and resource allocation, highlighting the challenges faced by decentralized governance in managing grant distributions.
