OranjeBTC Launches First Bitcoin-Backed Digital Credit ETF on Brazil's B3 Exchange
OranjeBTC has introduced the Digital Yield ETF, designated as DIGY11, on B3, Brazil's primary securities exchange. This marks the world's first exchange-traded fund (ETF) that generates income for investors by holding preferred equity in U.S. companies with substantial Bitcoin reserves. The fund aims for annual yields between 17% and 19%, leveraging investments in companies like Strategy (STRC) and Strive (SATA), which have adopted the corporate Bitcoin treasury strategy.
Unlike traditional ETFs, DIGY11 does not hold any Bitcoin directly. Instead, it channels investor capital into preferred shares of companies that maintain significant Bitcoin treasuries. As of mid-2026, OranjeBTC itself holds an estimated 3,700 to 3,900 BTC, positioning it as a notable player in the Bitcoin treasury landscape in Latin America.
The ETF was developed in collaboration with MarketVector, the index division of the VanEck group, and is managed by 3R Investimentos. Financial institutions Banco Daycoval and Itaú BBA are also involved in the initiative. Brazil has emerged as a crypto-friendly nation, having established a regulatory framework for digital assets in 2023, and DIGY11 represents a novel investment vehicle in the country's evolving cryptocurrency market.
