Circle Launches Euro Stablecoin EURC on South Korean Exchange Upbit

Circle has officially launched its euro stablecoin, EURC, on the South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit. This launch allows users in South Korea to trade EURC against various currencies, including the South Korean won (KRW) and Bitcoin (BTC), enhancing access to euro-denominated digital assets in the region.

The introduction of EURC aligns with the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, ensuring compliance and providing users with a secure and regulated stablecoin option. Circle, known for its US dollar stablecoin USDC, aims to expand its offerings in the global cryptocurrency market with this new product.

Upbit is recognized as one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea, and the addition of EURC is expected to attract more users looking for convenient access to euro stablecoins. This move reflects the growing interest in stablecoins and their role in facilitating cryptocurrency transactions.
