Clearpool Launches Lending Protocol on XRP Ledger Using XLS-66 and XLS-65

Clearpool has initiated the development of a lending protocol specifically designed for the XRP Ledger, leveraging the XLS-66 and XLS-65 protocols. This project aims to create a protocol-level lending infrastructure that will utilize RLUSD as the settlement currency. Currently, the project is in the development and testing phase, with the amendments available on the devnet awaiting approval from mainnet validators.

The introduction of these lending protocols is expected to enhance the functionality of the XRP Ledger, potentially increasing its appeal to institutional participants. The integration of XLS-66 and XLS-65 may signify a shift towards a more comprehensive financial ecosystem within the XRP Ledger, which could facilitate greater institutional engagement in the future.

As the project progresses, the approval of XLS-65 and XLS-66 by mainnet validators will be a critical milestone. Additionally, any developments related to regulatory frameworks or partnerships involving Ripple and the XRP Ledger could significantly impact market perceptions and the future trajectory of XRP.
