Awen Network Announces Deadline for $STPT to $AWE Token Migration
Awen Network has set a deadline of September 21, 2026, for the migration of legacy $STPT tokens to the new $AWE tokens. Currently, over 99% of the total supply of approximately 1.94 billion tokens has successfully transitioned to the new format, leaving a small fraction of holders with about a month to complete the swap before the opportunity closes permanently.
The migration process, which began in May 2025 following the rebranding of STP Network to AWE Network, allows for a straightforward 1:1 conversion of $STPT to $AWE without any additional fees beyond standard gas costs. Most major centralized exchanges, including Binance and Bitget, facilitated bulk conversions earlier in the migration period, contributing to the high completion rate.
After the September 21 cutoff, any unconverted $AWE tokens will be subject to a community governance vote, where token holders will decide the fate of the leftover supply, including options such as burning, redistributing, or locking the tokens. This migration is part of Awen Network's strategic shift towards developing AI infrastructure for Autonomous Worlds.
