Arthur Hayes: I Don't Follow Any Bitcoin Technical IndicatorsI In an August 23, 2026 video interview with Altcoin Daily, BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes CryptoHayes said he barely does technical analysis on Bitcoin and only follows equity-market analyst Milton Berg, because Bitcoin now largely follows the US stock market. If the US equity story breaks down, everyone holds similar assets on margin, and when margin calls hit people sell whatever is liquid, with Bitcoin getting sold first. He watches when Milton Berg buys and sells to gauge the market environment, but has no dedicated TA system for Bitcoin. He calls $60,000, $100,000 and the previous all-time high of $125,000-126,000 the key levels, and doesn't trade between them on technicals. He never looks at the 200-week moving average and doesn't trade on technical indicators; he's a big-picture, story, vibes guy who invests when sentiment is just bubbling up, not when it's super strong. He also wants to own assets the market doesn't love — which is why he loves Ethereum.
