Plenti Secures $3 Million Funding to Expand Fintech Services in Latin America

Plenti, a fintech startup based in Medellín, Colombia, has successfully raised $3 million in a funding round led by Tether and Verda Ventures. The investment will be used to expand the company's operations across Latin America and enhance its product offerings beyond basic transaction services. Founded in 2023, Plenti specializes in multicurrency accounts, allowing users to hold and transfer digital dollars (USDT), euros (EUR), and Colombian pesos (COP).

Since its inception, Plenti has gained significant traction, onboarding over 150,000 users and processing more than 680 million USDT in transactions as of mid-August 2026. The platform primarily serves freelancers and remote workers, providing them with essential financial tools. In addition to its core services, Plenti has introduced fractional trading of Tether Gold (XAUT), enabling users to invest with minimal amounts.

With the new funding, Plenti aims to evolve from a transactional platform to a comprehensive financial account solution, integrating traditional fiat banking alongside its cryptocurrency offerings. This strategic shift is designed to meet the growing demand for financial services among its user base as the company looks to maintain its transaction volume growth while expanding beyond Colombia.
