PANews reported on September 1, according to Cointelegraph, that Ripple has entered into a strategic partnership with digital asset infrastructure company SettleMint to integrate Ripple Custody with SettleMint's Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform, providing institutions with custody, issuance, and management solutions covering the full lifecycle of tokenized assets. Previously, Coincheck Group partnered with wallet infrastructure provider DFNS to develop wallet-as-a-service and custody solutions in Japan supporting more than 100 blockchain networks. These collaborations aim to fill gaps in digital asset custody and infrastructure for regulated financial institutions in the Asia-Pacific region. On-chain data firm Chainalysis said the Asia-Pacific region is the fastest-growing region for global on-chain crypto activity, with value received up 69% year over year. Japan also recently passed legislation bringing crypto assets into the regulatory framework of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
