Steve Witkoff Reports $107 Million Income from World Liberty Financial in 2025

Steve Witkoff, who served as a special envoy for peace under the Trump administration, reported an income of $107 million in 2025 from his involvement with World Liberty Financial, a company co-founded by members of the Trump and Witkoff families. This figure marks a significant increase from the $34 million reported in the previous year, as disclosed to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics.

World Liberty Financial, established in 2024, operates in the digital asset sector, issuing tokens including a governance token and a stablecoin known as USD1. Zach Witkoff, Steve's son, is the CEO of the company. Previous token sales have reportedly generated around $130 million for entities associated with the Witkoff family, with a Trump-linked entity entitled to 75% of net proceeds from certain sales. Notably, a partial stake sale to entities connected to Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates occurred while Steve Witkoff was engaged in diplomatic efforts in the Middle East.

The financial disclosures surrounding Witkoff's dual roles have raised concerns regarding potential conflicts of interest, particularly as scrutiny of crypto-related holdings among Trump administration officials has intensified. While discussions about divesting from these interests have been ongoing, no definitive separation has been achieved, leaving the intertwining of family wealth and political influence under continued examination. The USD1 stablecoin, in particular, is a focal point amid broader debates on U.S. crypto regulation, as proposals for a federal licensing framework are being considered.
