BofA Securities Upgrades Figure Technology to Neutral with $49 Price Target

BofA Securities has upgraded Figure Technology Solutions, a blockchain-powered lending company, from Underperform to Neutral, raising its price target from $31 to $49. This decision, announced on September 9, 2026, reflects a significant increase in the company's consumer loan marketplace volume, which surged by 132% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2026.

Figure's total consumer loan marketplace volume reached $4.3 billion in Q2 2026, with $2.8 billion generated through Figure Connect, its consumer credit marketplace. This growth has led BofA analysts to predict continued momentum through 2028, contributing to the upgrade in rating. The stock, which has fluctuated between $25 and $38 since its IPO a year ago, closed around $38 recently, indicating a potential upside of approximately 29% based on the new price target.

The upgrade marks a notable shift in BofA's stance on Figure Technology, which had previously been rated Neutral at its public debut in October 2025 before being downgraded to Underperform in February 2026 due to concerns about growth and risk. The consensus rating for Figure Technology among analysts remains a Buy, with an average price target of around $52, placing BofA's target slightly below the market average. Figure Technology is recognized as a leading non-bank provider of home equity lines of credit (HELOCs) and operates on the Provenance Blockchain, which streamlines the lending process by reducing settlement times and eliminating intermediaries.
