Charles Schwab Expands Crypto Offerings with New Tokens

Charles Schwab plans to enhance its cryptocurrency platform by adding three new tokens: Solana, Avalanche, and Chainlink. This expansion will provide clients with access to these digital assets in the coming months, joining Bitcoin and Ethereum, which have been available since the launch of Schwab Crypto in May 2026.

The decision to include Solana, Avalanche, and Chainlink was driven by client demand for established digital assets. Joe Vietri, head of digital assets at Charles Schwab, stated that this expansion will offer clients more options for building a digital asset allocation alongside their traditional investing and banking experiences.

In addition to the new tokens, Schwab recently introduced 24/7 crypto futures trading for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP through its thinkorswim platform. The company charges a fee of 75 basis points on the dollar value of each crypto trade. This move comes as the prices of digital assets have been rising, with Bitcoin currently trading at $79,801, up over 11% in the past week.
