Intel PC CPU Reportedly Tentatively Plans Another 10% Price Increase in Early October

PANews, September 8 - According to media reports, in response to rising overall costs, Intel has been gradually increasing prices for PC CPUs over the past year, with a tentative plan to raise them by another 10% in early October. The report states that despite a projected slight decline in the PC terminal market in 2027, Intel still chooses to raise CPU prices, with increasing gross margin as the primary goal, and the previous practice of cutting prices to compete for market share is no longer seen.

Supply chain analysis suggests that if Intel sets low gross margin as an important threshold for product retention, some products may be forced to exit the market. After related demand is released, the Arm camp operators such as MediaTek and Qualcomm may have opportunities to enter.
