MediaTek Reports Record Revenue in August, Anticipates Continued Growth

MediaTek, a leading semiconductor company based in Taiwan, announced a consolidated revenue of 64.183 billion New Taiwan Dollars (NTD) for August 2026, marking a month-on-month increase of 32.4% and a year-on-year increase of 44%. This figure sets a new monthly record for the company. The combined revenue for July and August reached 112.658 billion NTD, contributing to a total of 413.991 billion NTD for the first eight months of the year, which represents a year-on-year growth of 5.7%.

Looking ahead, MediaTek expects that if its revenue for September exceeds 39.542 billion NTD, it will meet the lower end of its financial forecast for the third quarter. The company anticipates growth in its smart device platform business to help mitigate the impact of a stagnant mobile business. Revenue for the current quarter is projected to be between 152.2 billion and 159.8 billion NTD, reflecting a flat to 5% growth compared to the previous quarter and a 7% to 12% increase year-on-year, with a gross margin estimated at 46% plus or minus 1.5 percentage points.

MediaTek is also focusing on its ASIC design services and other business segments, which are expected to contribute positively this year. The company has developed its first AI accelerator ASIC in collaboration with major U.S. cloud service providers, with plans for mass production in the fourth quarter. Data center revenue is anticipated to exceed 2 billion USD this year, prompting MediaTek to raise its market share target in the data center sector from 10% to 15% to a new goal of 15% to 20% by 2027.
