Pons Achieves Record $5.95 Million in Daily Fees on Robinhood Chain
Pons, a token launchpad protocol, has set a new record by generating $5.95 million in fees in a single day on Robinhood Chain, the brokerage's Ethereum Layer-2 network. This achievement marks a significant milestone as Pons now produces more fee revenue than the Robinhood Chain itself, highlighting its rapid rise since launching on July 1, 2026.
The protocol has quickly become a dominant player on the network, accounting for between 50% and 80% of all activity, depending on the day. Cumulative fees have exceeded $56 million within just two months of operation. Pons captured approximately $40.84 million in fees over the past 30 days, with a notable $5.34 million generated just days before the record day.
Pons operates on a fee structure of 1% per transaction, with 70% going to creators and 30% to the protocol, which funds buybacks and burns of the native PONS token. Since its launch, around 27% to 29% of the total PONS supply has been permanently removed from circulation, contributing to its deflationary model. However, the sustainability of memecoin trading at this scale remains a topic of discussion as competition from lower-fee alternatives grows in the crypto landscape.
