CoreWeave Secures Multibillion-Dollar AI Cloud Agreement with Hudson River Trading

CoreWeave has signed a multibillion-dollar, multi-year agreement with Hudson River Trading (HRT), a leading quantitative trading firm. This deal will provide HRT with GPU compute capacity for trading research and model development, marking a significant expansion of the existing partnership between the two companies. CoreWeave's Chief Revenue Officer, Jon Jones, emphasized the importance of this agreement in meeting the growing demand for robust GPU infrastructure among financial institutions.

This contract follows CoreWeave's recent successes in the financial sector, including a $6 billion commitment from Jane Street in April 2026 and an expanded agreement with IMC earlier this month. The HRT deal also includes early access to Nvidia's upcoming Vera Rubin chips, further enhancing CoreWeave's appeal to algorithmic trading firms.

CoreWeave, which trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker CRWV, has focused its infrastructure on GPU-intensive workloads, distinguishing itself from traditional cloud providers. This strategic move into financial services represents a shift from its initial client base of AI labs and tech companies, positioning CoreWeave as a key player in the competitive landscape of cloud services for quantitative finance.
