The Doubao Second Generation phone continues to implement an edge-cloud collaborative solution, as reported by the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily. This technology is present in both the technical preview version and the current consumer version of the device.

The Doubao Phone Assistant is designed to prioritize processing on the edge side. However, for more complex tasks that require cloud processing, the system aims to minimize cloud usage due to existing technological limitations within the industry. Despite these challenges, the overall approach to edge-cloud collaboration remains unchanged.
