Uniswap v4 Surpasses 90,000 Initialized Hooks Linked to Deployed Pools
Uniswap v4 has achieved a significant milestone, with over 90,000 unique hooks initialized and linked to deployed liquidity pools. This figure, tracked through on-chain data dashboards such as Dune Analytics, marks a substantial increase from approximately 22,600 hooks recorded earlier this year, reflecting a rapid adoption of the protocol's new features since its launch.
The hooks function as plug-ins for liquidity pools, allowing developers to implement custom smart contract logic that executes at various stages of a pool's lifecycle, such as before or after a swap. This flexibility enables developers to modify pool behavior without altering the core protocol code, a capability that was not available prior to the introduction of v4.
Uniswap v4's architecture includes a singleton PoolManager, which consolidates all pools within a single contract, reducing deployment costs and enhancing gas efficiency. The growth in unique hook addresses—from about 22,609 in early 2026 to nearly 90,000 by mid-January 2026—demonstrates the increasing innovation within the Uniswap ecosystem. Notable hooks include DualPool, which optimizes idle liquidity for yield generation, and others that adjust fee structures based on market conditions.
Community-maintained dashboards have made this data publicly accessible, showcasing the diverse applications of hooks in the Uniswap ecosystem. As developers continue to explore the capabilities of these hooks, the protocol is poised for further evolution and increased functionality.
