Coinbase's Tokenized SpaceX Stock Achieves $6.6 Million in Daily Trading Volume

Coinbase's tokenized version of SpaceX stock, known as SPCXc, has reached approximately $6.6 million in trading volume on decentralized exchanges (DEX) in just one day. This significant trading activity occurred on the Base network, where the SPCXc token allows users to trade a representation of SpaceX equity, following the company's public listing on Nasdaq under the ticker SPCX in June 2026.

Launched on September 4, 2026, SPCXc is part of a broader suite of tokenized equities offered by Coinbase, which now includes ten different stocks. Since its inception, the entire suite has generated nearly $399 million in cumulative trading volume, indicating a growing interest in tokenized assets. Notably, the Aerodrome decentralized exchange, the largest on the Base network, has facilitated over 77% of the trading volume for these tokenized equities.

The token is structured as a 1:1 backed B20 token, meaning each SPCXc token corresponds to one share of SpaceX equity held off-chain. As of September 11, 2026, the SPCXc token had a total supply of around $1.11 million, with approximately 3,400 holders. However, it is important to note that these tokenized products are currently available only to non-U.S. investors, limiting access for American traders.
