Ionic Digital Expands Bitcoin Holdings to 2,882 BTC Amid Strong AI Revenue Growth

Ionic Digital has increased its Bitcoin holdings by 21 BTC, bringing its total to 2,882 BTC. This growth comes as the company, which emerged from the bankruptcy of Celsius Mining, has shifted its focus to artificial intelligence and high-performance computing leasing, generating 90% of its revenue from these sectors.

As of June 30, 2026, Ionic Digital's Bitcoin stash was valued at approximately $168.7 million. The company reported a significant revenue of $48.6 million for the second quarter of 2026, with $43.8 million coming from AI and computing services, marking a 31% increase year-over-year. The company also mined 24.77 BTC in May 2026, reflecting a 21.1% increase from the previous month.

Ionic Digital was established in January 2024 after acquiring Celsius Mining's assets, which included around 540 BTC. Since then, the company has not purchased any Bitcoin on the open market, instead relying on its mining operations. Ionic Digital has also signed a 10-year lease with AI cloud provider Nscale, potentially generating $2 billion in revenue over the contract's duration. The company completed its direct listing on Nasdaq on July 28, 2026, with shares rising nearly 25% on the first day of trading.
