Pump.fun Integrates HyperEVM Support in Mobile App

Pump.fun has announced the full integration of HyperEVM into its mobile application, becoming the first platform to fully support Hyperliquid's EVM-compatible execution layer. This enhancement allows users to trade HyperEVM tokens against USDC with near-zero fees, a feature that was only partially available prior to this update.

HyperEVM serves as the smart contract layer of the Hyperliquid L1 blockchain, which operates under chain ID 999. It works in conjunction with HyperCore, the native trading infrastructure of Hyperliquid, facilitating general-purpose smart contracts and ERC-20 tokens. The integration is part of Pump.fun's evolution from a Solana-based meme coin launchpad to a multi-chain trading platform.

The rollout of HyperEVM support was executed in phases, with partial capabilities introduced weeks before the full launch. This approach allowed the team to test the infrastructure thoroughly. The integration is expected to enhance trading efficiency for users, particularly in the meme token market, where high-frequency and small-size trades are common. However, potential risks include rising gas fees and the need for robust security as the platform expands across multiple chains.
