      Stablecoin Payment Infrastructure Company Latitude Secures $35 Million in Series A Funding

      Latitude, a stablecoin payment infrastructure company, has successfully raised $35 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Oak HC/FT and included participation from notable investors such as NEA, Coinbase, Lightspeed Faction, and OpenFX.

      Co-founded by former executives from Stripe, Uber, Coinbase, and Meta, Latitude aims to facilitate the transfer of fiat currency to users in emerging markets through stablecoins, utilizing local payment methods like bank accounts and mobile wallets. The company is currently licensed to operate in 45 markets across the United States and has plans to expand its regulatory licenses into Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa.

      With a current team of 15 employees, Latitude intends to allocate the new funding towards enhancing its compliance, engineering, and sales teams, positioning itself for further growth in the evolving digital payment landscape.
