ZEC Futures Open Interest Rises 29% Amid Concentrated Long Positions

The total open interest for Zcash (ZEC) futures contracts has seen a significant increase of 29% over the past 24 hours, reaching approximately 2.34 million coins, valued at around 3.35 billion USD, according to data from Coinglass. This surge reflects heightened trading activity in the ZEC market.

In the last four hours, the liquidation amount for ZEC contracts was reported at 9.08 million USD, contributing to a total liquidation of 58.9 million USD within the past day. This indicates a volatile trading environment for ZEC futures, which is often influenced by market sentiment and trading strategies.

On the Binance exchange, the long-short ratio for ZEC against Tether (USDT) stands at 0.3646, suggesting a predominance of short positions among traders. Notably, large accounts exhibit a long-short ratio of 0.3168, while large account positions show a higher ratio of 0.7663, indicating that long positions are concentrated among a small number of significant holders.
