Binance Research: Tokenized Stocks Shift From Issuance to Distribution and UsageBinance Research said the tokenized stock market is shifting from an issuance race to a competition over distribution and usage. Active tokenized stock market capitalization has risen 314% YTD to $4 billion, while monthly trading volume increased from $237 million in January to $7.9 billion in August and turnover rose from 0.23x to 2.14x. bStocks and Robinhood’s combined share of tracked issuer volume jumped from 0.8% in June to 82.3% in August and 87.8% so far in September.Active DeFi TVL for tokenized stocks also increased from $21.6 million to $289.1 million, rising from 2.2% to 7.2% of active market cap. Binance Research said issuance alone does not determine where liquidity flows; stronger platforms will be those that can convert users, retain liquidity after issuance, and give tokenized stocks additional on-chain utility.
