DeFi Development Corp. Increases SOL Holdings and Launches $300 Million Preferred Stock Program

DeFi Development Corp., a company listed on Nasdaq under the ticker DFDV, has expanded its holdings of Solana (SOL) by acquiring an additional 55,491 coins since August 27. This brings the company's total holdings to approximately 2,388,900 SOL and SOL equivalents, marking a 2% increase in its cryptocurrency assets.

In conjunction with this acquisition, DeFi Development has announced the establishment of a variable rate Series C perpetual preferred stock program, designated as CHAD, with a maximum cap of $300 million. R.F. Lafferty & Co. will act as the exclusive sales agent for this program. The preferred stock is expected to be issued at a minimum price of $10 per share, with the net proceeds primarily aimed at further increasing the company's SOL holdings.

The company clarified that the launch of the CHAD ATM program does not signify an immediate financing initiative, and it is not obligated to sell any shares at this time. This strategic move reflects DeFi Development's ongoing commitment to enhancing its position in the cryptocurrency market.
