Kaiko Secures $110 Million in New Financing Led by S&P Global

Kaiko, a cryptocurrency market data service provider, has successfully completed a new round of financing totaling $110 million, with S&P Global leading the investment. This funding round also saw participation from notable firms including DRW Holdings, Susquehanna, Royal Bank of Canada, Nasdaq, BNP Paribas, Bpifrance, Broadridge, Canton Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, and Stellar.

The latest financing comes amid a growing trend on Wall Street towards asset tokenization, driven by the increasing demand for continuous market data. As cryptocurrency markets operate around the clock, there is a heightened need for comprehensive pricing, valuation, and risk management data infrastructure. Kaiko plans to utilize the new funds to enhance its product offerings and services in response to this demand.

Previously, Kaiko raised $53 million in a Series B financing round in June 2022, which was led by Eight Roads, the venture capital arm backed by Fidelity. This earlier round included participation from French venture capital firm Revaia and existing investors such as Alven, Point Nine, Anthemis, and Underscore.
