Bitwise’s Solana Staking ETF Surpasses $1 Billion in Assets in Under a Year

Bitwise’s Solana Staking ETF, known as BSOL, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing $1 billion in assets under management on August 28, 2026, just ten months after its launch on October 28, 2025. This makes BSOL the first Solana-focused ETF to reach this level, even as the price of Solana (SOL) has fallen approximately 60% from its all-time high during the same period.

As of August 26, 2026, BSOL held around 9.33 million SOL, valued at approximately $1.018 billion, representing over 50% of the total assets across all Solana-focused ETFs. The fund has captured about 79% of the net inflows into Solana ETF products, significantly outpacing competitors such as Grayscale’s GSOL and Fidelity’s FSOL, which have struggled to keep pace.

The ETF's appeal is largely attributed to its staking component, which stakes about 96% of its holdings, yielding a net staking reward rate of 5.80%. This yield is passed on to shareholders, providing an incentive to hold the fund even during market downturns. Despite the broader bear market conditions, BSOL has seen sustained inflows, indicating strong investor confidence. The concentration of assets in BSOL, however, poses risks, as significant outflows could impact SOL's market price due to its dominance in the category.
