Mech-Mind CEO Critiques Revenue Practices of Embodied Intelligence Firms

Shao Tianlan, founder and CEO of Mech-Mind, a company listed in Hong Kong, has raised concerns regarding the revenue practices of certain embodied intelligence companies. In a recent social media post, he accused these firms of generating misleading and unsustainable revenue through transactions involving data collection centers and collaborations with local governments, investors, and suppliers. Shao described these companies as 'gathering-type' entities, some of which are well-known and highly valued in Beijing and Shanghai, and have gained visibility through appearances on major events such as the Spring Festival Gala.

Shao criticized these practices as illegal, unethical, and detrimental to investors. He warned that such revenue generation methods could impose significant growth pressures on these companies, creating a cycle of dependency on inflated revenue figures. He emphasized that after achieving revenue this year, these companies would face the challenge of maintaining and exceeding those figures in the following year, potentially leading to a spiral of fraudulent activities and financial instability.

In his comments, Shao specifically mentioned Galaxy Universal, questioning whether the company had received backing from leaders in Beijing for its listing. His remarks highlight ongoing concerns within the technology sector regarding transparency and ethical practices in revenue reporting, particularly among firms involved in advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and robotics.
