Bitmine CEO on Why Ethereum Could Reach $6,000 By the End of 2026

Tom Lee, Bitmine’s chief executive, has good news for digital asset customers tracking Ether moves. In a broadcast aired today, the executive predicted that ETH could reach $6,000 by the end of the year, giving strategic investors renewed hope.

As bullishness in the larger crypto industry remains firm, long-term traders are hyper-focused on where things could go next. Ethereum continues to lead such conversations, and the latest prediction comes from Tom Lee, who today shed light on the asset’s potential path through the end of the year.

In the podcast, the investment analyst laid out a bold projection, pointing out a bullish case for a $6,000 ETH by the end of the year. Tom Lee is a stronger believer in Ethereum. His company, Bitmine, turned buying ETH into a strategy to grow the institution’s fortune. The CEO knows something about Ethereum that most investors don’t. He hasn’t been buying ETH for fun or for a quick trade; he’s been buying for years, through lows and highs.

So, when he believes ETH could reach $6,000 by the end of the year, his prediction is based on the practical interplay of events, beyond pure speculation. His projection is anchored on historical context, network utility, and macroeconomic drivers.  

As Lee notes, ETH’s price history shows sensitivity to technological catalysts and broader market cycles. For example, the asset’s 2021 bull run was triggered by the meteoric boom in NFTs and DeFi. So going forward, macroeconomic conditions, including regulatory clarity, institutional adoption, and interest rate movements, will play a crucial role in Ether’s trajectory, the CEO noted.

As a result, Lee is convinced that Ether could hit $6,000 if Bitcoin surges to $150,000. He believes the target is just conservative, based on ETH’s capability to strengthen against BTC as adoption rises. He expects Ether to benefit from tokenization, institutional utility, and on-chain activity. In his view, if BTC rises to $150,000, ETH’s market strength increases, giving it energy to move towards $6,000.

Ether consolidates at $2,400 and what’s next

Today, Ether trades at $2,411, down 0.9% over the past week. This shows the asset’s ongoing consolidation after a recent market rally that enabled it to rebound to $2,600, seen last week on September 7. The altcoin has been consolidating above $2,400, a key support zone.

So far, ETH’s movement shows its bullish structure remains intact as it takes a breath after the earlier surge. The next level to watch is $2,546, as market data indicates a high chance of institutional buyers continuing to push toward $2,600 –$2,670 in the short term.
