Coinbase Expands Asset Listing Roadmap with BLUE CHIP and Ritual Tokens

Coinbase Markets has announced the addition of two new tokens to its asset listing roadmap: BLUE CHIP (BLUECHIP), a meme coin associated with Base-chain culture, and Ritual (RITUAL), the native token of an AI-focused Layer-1 blockchain. This move indicates that both tokens will undergo a pre-listing review process that assesses liquidity, technical integration, and regulatory compliance, although it does not guarantee that they will be listed for trading.

BLUE CHIP is a low-market-cap meme token that has gained traction within Base-chain communities, reflecting narratives linked to Coinbase's personnel and the broader concept of tokenized equity. In contrast, Ritual is designed for on-chain AI inference and agent-based computing, utilizing a unique system called 'sidecars' for native compute. The RITUAL token serves both governance and utility functions within its ecosystem, with a total supply of 10 billion tokens, of which 29% is allocated to core contributors and 25% to ecosystem growth.

Ritual recently completed its public testnet, which successfully processed over 55 million blocks, showcasing significant activity from autonomous agents. The project is now preparing for its mainnet launch. Coinbase's asset listing roadmap serves as a public queue, indicating that the exchange is considering these assets, but trading support announcements will be made separately if the tokens pass the necessary vetting process.
