TradeXYZ Sees Significant Drop in RWA Perpetuals Trading Volume
TradeXYZ, a leading platform for real-world asset (RWA) perpetual contracts on Hyperliquid's L1 blockchain, has reported a daily trading volume of approximately $2.1 to $2.6 billion. This figure marks a substantial decline of 71% from its peak in July 2026, when the platform achieved a record monthly volume of around $100 billion, primarily driven by semiconductor-linked contracts.
Despite the decrease in daily trading volume, TradeXYZ maintains an open interest of about $3.6 billion, indicating that while trading activity has slowed, the user base remains engaged. The platform commands between 95% and 99% of the deployed volume in the HIP-3 category on Hyperliquid, following the exit of other competitors from the market.
Since its launch in late 2025, TradeXYZ has rapidly expanded from index perpetuals to include commodities and individual equities. In the second quarter of 2026, the platform recorded a total trading volume of $202.36 billion, reflecting a 79.2% increase from the previous quarter, with equity perpetuals alone surging by 377%.
The recent cooling in trading volume follows a period of intense activity, particularly in the semiconductor sector, which had become a focal point for traders looking to leverage positions in a fast-moving market. As the RWA perpetuals landscape continues to evolve, the current daily volume suggests potential for sustained growth if trading patterns stabilize.
