Hyperliquid’s HYPE Token Added to Hashdex’s NCIQ ETF

Hyperliquid’s HYPE token has been included in Hashdex’s Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF (NCIQ) with a portfolio weight of 3.36%. This addition, effective September 1, 2026, positions HYPE as the fifth-largest holding in the ETF, following Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana.

The NCIQ ETF, which launched in February 2025, initially comprised only Bitcoin and Ethereum. Over the past 18 months, it has expanded to include nine assets, reflecting the growing universe of eligible crypto assets. The current asset distribution shows Bitcoin at 74.36%, Ethereum at 11.88%, XRP at 5.21%, Solana at 3.79%, and HYPE at 3.36%.

HYPE was trading at approximately $83 at the time of the announcement, marking a significant year-to-date increase of around 230%. The inclusion of HYPE in the ETF is expected to create a structural demand for the token, as index funds are designed to passively allocate funds regardless of market fluctuations. Hashdex, under the leadership of CIO Samir Kerbage, has been actively reconstituting the NCIQ to incorporate newly eligible assets, evolving it into a broader market crypto index.
