Payward to Launch Permissioned Perpetual Futures for U.S. Traders

Payward, the parent company of Kraken, has announced plans to introduce permissioned perpetual futures contracts for U.S. clients. These trades will be matched and recorded on Hyperliquid, a public blockchain, and will only be accessible through Payward's regulated derivatives framework, specifically to approved accounts.

The trading structure will require onboarding through NinjaTrader, with only accounts that are included on the allowlists of both NinjaTrader and Bitnomial permitted to participate. Payward emphasized that all listings will be subject to regulatory approval, ensuring compliance with U.S. regulations.

Bitnomial, which is regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), will serve as the exchange and clearinghouse for these new contracts. NinjaTrader Clearing, also CFTC-registered, will manage customer accounts. Payward has confirmed that the same clearinghouse currently supports its existing crypto perpetual contracts for U.S. customers, indicating a continuity in regulatory oversight and operational structure.
