Robinhood Chain Achieves Record Revenue with PONS Launchpad Dominance
Robinhood Chain, the Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain launched by Robinhood on July 1, 2026, has reported a record daily app revenue of $2.66 million, surpassing both Ethereum and Hyperliquid. This surge in revenue is largely attributed to Pons, a non-custodial token launchpad that has quickly gained traction, capturing approximately 7% of the broader market mindshare and generating around $930,000 in protocol revenue in a recent 24-hour period.
Initially designed to support tokenized real-world assets and decentralized finance applications, Robinhood Chain has seen a significant shift towards memecoin activity. Pons has emerged as the leading launchpad, accounting for about 66% of daily token launches and 78% of new-token trading volume on the chain. Together with GMGN and Uniswap, Pons and its partners drive nearly 88% of the chain's daily revenue, with gas fees reaching $495,000 in a single day.
The $PONS token has experienced remarkable growth, with its market capitalization rising from approximately $60 million to a peak of $400 million within a week, before stabilizing around $300 million. This growth is linked to a buyback-and-burn mechanism that reduces the token supply, directly correlating with the platform's revenue generation. As Robinhood prepares to report earnings in the coming weeks, the chain's ability to outperform Ethereum in daily app revenue is expected to be a key point in its narrative to investors.
