Oil Prices Increase for Fourth Day Amid US-Iran Tensions

Oil prices have risen for the fourth consecutive day, driven by escalating geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran. The ongoing conflict has raised concerns about potential disruptions to oil supply routes in the Middle East, particularly around the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. As a result, Brent crude oil has reached $91.14 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is priced at $85.04, approaching recent highs.

The situation in the Strait of Hormuz has intensified supply-risk pricing, with US forces actively involved in redirecting commercial vessels in the area. This heightened military presence underscores the risks associated with shipping in this vital corridor. Additionally, OPEC has recently revised its oil-demand growth forecast downward, complicating the market dynamics further and contributing to the uncertainty surrounding future oil prices.

Market analysts are closely monitoring the developments in the US-Iran conflict, as any diplomatic resolutions could significantly impact oil prices. Furthermore, OPEC's production decisions and shifts in global demand forecasts will also play a crucial role in influencing market pricing in the coming days.
